Health Insurance
<\/span><\/strong>In order to qualify for all benefits, an employee must be a regular, full-time employee (scheduled to work 20+ hours per week).\u00a0 For new employees, this is effective 30 days after the 1st of the month following the hire date.\u00a0 Your coverage under the benefit plan will end if you no longer meet the eligibility requirements, your contributions are discontinued or the Group Insurance Policy is terminated.<\/p>\n

All benefit eligible employees MUST login to the enrollment system to confirm their enrollment for health insurance, dental and vision coverage.\u00a0 This is done through the Benefits Exchange Northwest Website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Medical Insurance
<\/strong><\/span>The County medical insurance is provided by Blue Cross of Idaho.\u00a0 See summary of benefits below under Documents.\u00a0 You can set up and manage an online account through the
Blue Cross of Idaho website<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Dental Insurance<\/span>
<\/strong>The County dental insurance is provided by
Delta Dental<\/a>.\u00a0 See summary of benefits below under Documents.<\/p>\n

Vision Insurance
<\/span><\/strong>The county vision insurance is offered through
VSP Vision Care<\/a>.\u00a0 See summary of benefits below under Documents.<\/p>\n

Life Insurance
<\/strong><\/span>The County pays for a policy for the employee that is equal to their annual salary or $25,000 max for Accidental Death & Dismemberment and equal to their annual salary or $25,000 maximum.<\/p>\n

The employee is able to buy additional life insurance for themselves and spouse, at their own expense.\u00a0 These voluntary plans are available:\u00a0 NCPERS, Dearborn Life, ALFAC, and Colonial.<\/p>\n

Public Employee Retirement System of\u00a0 Idaho (PERSI)
<\/span><\/strong>Shoshone County employees receive a pension plan through PERSI.\u00a0 PERSI members are fully vested after five (5) years of employment and receive a lifetime monthly payment upon retirement, which can be passed to the employee’s designated beneficiary.\u00a0 The PERSI rates for a general employee are 7.16% and the County pays 11.94%.\u00a0 For a law enforcement employee the rate is 8.81% and the County pays 12.28%.\u00a0 You can sign up and manage your

HRA\/VEBA
<\/span><\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/strong><\/span>The County has established a health\u00a0 reimbursement arrangement plan (HRA) that provides tax-free reimbursement of eligible health care expenses not paid by other insurance.\u00a0 Plan benefits are funded using a voluntary employees’ beneficiary association trust or VEBA.\u00a0 Unused funds in members’ accounts are carried over from year to year to build for future expenses while earning tax-free interest.\u00a0 The County makes HRA\/VEBA contributions to employees who enroll in the County’s Medical Plan.\u00a0 Full-time employees $1,000 and Part-time benefited employees $500.\u00a0 HRA\/VEBA contributions amount vary on an annual basis.\u00a0 You can sign up and manage your
HRA\/VEBA account <\/a>online.<\/p>\n

Vacation Leave<\/span><\/strong>
Vacation leave is available to full-time and part-time regular employees who have completed the equivalent of 6 months of full-time employment.\u00a0 See the Shoshone County Personnel Policy for more information.<\/p>\n

Sick Leave<\/span><\/strong>
Sick leave benefits are provided to regular full-time and part-time regular employees at the rate of 1\/2 day per every month of employment.\u00a0 See the Shoshone County Personnel Policy for more information.<\/p>\n

Public Student Loan Forgiveness<\/strong><\/span>
As a full-time, public sector employee your student loans may qualify for the public student loan forgiveness program.\u00a0 If you are employed full-time for the County (or any qualifying public employer) for 10 years, and make qualifying payments during that time, the Federal government may “forgive” the remaining balance of your student loans.\u00a0

ICRMP
<\/strong><\/span>Shoshone County works with our liability insurance company as a way to provide valuable online training to our employees and to participate in risk management measures.\u00a0 Through the
ICRMP Online University<\/a>, employees review policies and participate in required training.<\/p>\n
