Eligible candidate must be able to operate a backhoe, skidsteer, excavator and drive truck. Performs duties that include: lift objects in excess of 100 lbs, perform heavy manual labor tasks, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, ability to identify various hazardous materials and have general knowledge of minor mechanical repairs. 


Must have a current CDL at least class B – prefer Class A, general computer skills and skilled in communication with the general public.


Hourly pay range is $13.96 – $16.52 DOE. This is a full-time position with full benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement.

                                                        NOXIOUS WEED DEPARTMENT

                                                                        SPRAY TECH


                                             Position Opening


Position: Noxious Weed Spray Tech – to operate spray equipment and apply herbicides utilizing electronic spray applicator in spray truck, UTV and backpack sprayers. Fill sprayer tanks with water and herbicides according to specified formulas. Start motors and engage machinery, such as sprayer agitator and pumps. Clean, maintain and service machinery to ensure operating efficiency. Maintain herbicide log and all pertinent documentation. Responsible for safeguarding equipment and pedestrian traffic within work area. Participate in community spray days and related meetings. Approximately four month of work. Usually, 30-40 hours per week depending on weather. Hourly pay $14. This is a temporary full-time position. 

Requirements: Current Idaho driver’s license. Lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform heavy manual labor. No sensitivity to herbicides.
